Midrand man questions Kyalami Shisanyama portions after paying R466 for braai

A South African man has been left unimpressed after spending more than R460 on a braai meal at Kyalami Shisanyama in Midrand, only to feel that the portions did not match the price.

The customer @musa_unerscore took to X to share his receipt, making it clear that he was not planning another visit.

“I’m so mad 🤬🤬🤬 Kyalami Shisanyama you will never see me again,” he wrote.

According to the receipt, his order included chakalaka for R35, chuck for R147.60, lamb for R125, pap for R40 and wors for R76.63.

The food alone came to R424.23, with a further R42.42 charged as a service fee, bringing the total to R466.65.

At that price, some South Africans might expect to leave with enough leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch. The customer, however, was clearly not impressed with what landed on his plate.

As the saying goes, eish, that braai bill needs its own plate!
