Two women were shot and killed in a deadly shooting in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, on Thursday afternoon.
According to police spokesperson Wesley Twigg, the incident occurred on Wespoort Drive, where gunfire erupted, leaving two women fatally wounded and a young boy injured.
“Crime scene experts are on the scene of a shooting incident in Wespoort Drive, Mitchells Plain, where two adult females were shot and fatally wounded, and a young boy wounded. More details will be released once it becomes available,” said Twigg.
Police have opened a murder investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
