Mzansi has been left both shocked and entertained after a 59-year-old woman shared her story on I Blew It, revealing how she spent her entire R2.5 million Road Accident Fund (RAF) payout.
The woman explained that after receiving the money, she initially made what seemed like sensible decisions — building an eight-room house and buying two cars.
From Stability to “Soft Life”
However, things took a turn when she became involved with a much younger man, commonly referred to as a “Ben 10,” who was nearly 20 years her junior.
As the relationship progressed, so did her spending. She gave him R200,000 in cash and later bought another house for R450,000.
Her lifestyle quickly escalated into what many describe as a “soft life,” with frequent house parties, trips to Cape Town, and even a cruise.
Spending Spirals Out of Control
At some point, she trusted the man enough to give him access to her bank card and even purchased a Toyota Quantum for him.
In an attempt to save, she reportedly set aside R500,000 with a relative, but later withdrew the money with him — and continued spending.
As the funds began to run out, she was forced to sell both her cars and the second house she had bought.
Left With Nothing
Eventually, when the money was completely depleted, the relationship also came to an end. The younger man allegedly left her — and drove off with the Quantum.
Her story has since gone viral, sparking widespread reactions online, with many South Africans expressing disbelief at how quickly millions can disappear without proper financial planning.
