Tribby Wadi Bhozza has been accused of failing to honour a paid booking at the fourth annual DonLand All White event in Randfontein, with the promoter claiming the musician received his full R35,000 performance fee but never arrived at the venue.
The event, hosted by Randfontein-based promoter Bonginkosi Kae, popularly known as “Dipepa” in Mohlakeng, took place on Saturday, 3 October 2026, with Tribby scheduled to perform at 23:00.

According to Dipepa, the booking had been secured in advance and the full performance fee was paid before the event.
The promoter has since shared proof of payment showing that R20,000 was paid in July 2026, followed by the remaining R15,000 in September, meaning the R35,000 fee had been settled well ahead of the event.
However, Dipepa says Tribby did not arrive to perform and that neither the artist nor his team communicated with the organisers to explain his absence.
In a statement issued after the event, the promoter apologised to attendees who had expected to see Tribby perform.
“TRIBBY WAS PAID THE FULL R35,000 BEFORE THE EVENT AND WAS SCHEDULED TO PERFORM AT 23:00. HE DID NOT SHOW UP, AND WE RECEIVED NO COMMUNICATION FROM HIM OR HIS TEAM.”
Dipepa also apologised to everyone who attended the fourth annual DonLand All White, saying the organisers were “deeply sorry” for how the night unfolded.
The promoter’s payment records appear to show that he had fulfilled his financial obligation before the event date, raising questions over what happened on the night and why Tribby allegedly failed to appear.
Tribby’s side of the story had not been provided at the time of publication.
