Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya has laid bare his personal finances in court, revealing a gross monthly salary of R158,652, two properties worth a combined R3.35 million and five vehicles valued at more than R1.2 million.
The financial details were disclosed during Sibiya’s ongoing bail proceedings in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
According to the information placed before the court, Sibiya earns R158,652 before deductions each month.
His property portfolio consists of two properties with a combined estimated value of R3.35 million.
Sibiya also owns five vehicles, collectively valued at more than R1.2 million.
The disclosure forms part of the court’s consideration of his personal circumstances as his bail application continues.
Sibiya faces several serious charges, including rape, human trafficking and sexual grooming of a minor. He denies the allegations against him.
The State is opposing bail, while Sibiya’s legal team is seeking his release from custody.
