Threat to electricity prices in South Africa: Experts warn that the high load factor for gas generation in the government’s Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) 2025 will increase electricity tariffs. This follows the recent cabinet approval of a long-term electricity generation plan, detailed by Minister of Electricity and Energy Kgosientsho Ramokgopa at a media briefing.
