AmaPanyaza Vehicle Clamped at Randfontein Estate

A vehicle belonging to the Crime Prevention Wardens — popularly known as AmaPanyaza or “MaGreen Beans” — was clamped on Monday afternoon at Greenfields Estate.

The incident took place in Mohlakeng, where estate security enforced parking rules after the vehicle reportedly remained in a designated drop-off and loading zone for longer than the permitted time.

Kurrently has learned that motorists are only allowed to park in the zone for a maximum of 15 minutes. Vehicles that exceed this limit face clamping and a R500 release fee.

Security personnel at the estate confirmed that the rules apply to all motorists without exception.

The wardens are part of a community safety initiative introduced under the leadership of Panyaza Lesufi to assist with crime prevention across Gauteng.

Security guards at the estate reportedly maintained that no one is above the rules, emphasising that all drivers must comply with the same regulations when using the drop-off and loading areas.
