Media personality Minnie Dlamini has revealed that she spent approximately R1.5 million of her own money on her wedding to ex-husband Quintin Jones, excluding sponsorships she received for the occasion.
Speaking during an interview with Thando Thabethe on 947, Dlamini opened up about the cost of the wedding, clarifying that she personally paid the amount.
Her revelation comes amid renewed public interest in her divorce from Jones, particularly reports surrounding financial matters between the former couple.
Dlamini also disputed claims that she is paying spousal maintenance to Jones.
Reports previously indicated that Jones had applied for spousal maintenance of R10,000 per month. However, Dlamini denied that she was making such payments.
Her comments have brought fresh attention to the financial aspects of the former couple’s separation, with Dlamini setting the record straight on both the cost of the wedding and the reported maintenance payments.
