MK Party member Sibonelo Nomvalo has earned praise after building a house for a struggling family out of his own pocket in Mzimkhulu.

The home, constructed for the Mthethwa family, was officially handed over by MK Party president Jacob Zuma, marking a significant moment for the beneficiaries.
According to details surrounding the initiative, Nomvalo decided to step in after learning about the difficult living conditions faced by the family.

Without relying on government funding or sponsorship, he personally financed the construction of the house.
Act of generosity draws attention
The gesture has been widely welcomed, with many highlighting it as an example of direct community intervention by political figures.
The handover ceremony, attended by community members, symbolised not only the completion of the house but also renewed hope for the family, who had been struggling prior to the intervention.
Community impact
Acts like these continue to resonate in communities where access to adequate housing remains a challenge, often sparking conversations about the role of leaders in addressing grassroots issues beyond policy promises
