South African rapper Shebeshxt has found himself at the center of controversy after allegedly shooting a motorist during a road rage altercation in Polokwane, Limpopo.
According to Sunday World, the incident unfolded when Shebeshxt drove into a filling station and parked his car, followed closely by another motorist. The publication reports that the motorist climbed out of his vehicle, and Shebeshxt allegedly approached him before shooting. The victim is said to have collapsed to the ground, after which the rapper got back into his car and drove off.
The motorist is reportedly fighting for his life in hospital, while police have launched an investigation into the matter.
In a new development, Sunday World further reports that Shebeshxt has since handed himself over to police, accompanied by his legal team. He was released pending further investigations.
Authorities are continuing to probe the incident to determine the exact details and possible charges.
