Relebohile Mofokeng says he is delighted to have begun the next chapter of his career after completing his move to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
Speaking after his arrival at the Belgian club, Mofokeng described the transfer as the fulfilment of a lifelong ambition.
“I’m very happy to be here. It’s a dream to play in Europe and to begin our Champions League qualifying campaign soon.”
The 20-year-old reflected on what he described as a memorable year, having won the league title, represented South Africa national football team at his first 2026 FIFA World Cup, and now securing a move to Europe.
“The past year has been very special, with the league title, my first FIFA World Cup with South Africa, and now this important step in my career.”
Mofokeng said he is eager to continue improving as a player and hopes to help his new club compete for silverware.
“I hope to continue developing as a player here. Together with the team, we’ll do everything we can to compete for trophies.”
