Former SABC sports presenter Owen Ndlovu has been found dead after being hijacked and kidnapped by three armed men in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, on Tuesday night.
Ndlovu was abducted at approximately 8pm on 15 September 2026 while collecting his wife from church.
According to information previously provided by police, three armed men approached the couple, pushed Ndlovu’s wife aside and forced him into the back seat of his own Ford Raptor.
The suspects then drove away with him.
Police subsequently recovered the Ford Raptor abandoned, but Ndlovu was nowhere to be found.
His disappearance prompted concern as investigators worked to establish his whereabouts and identify the armed suspects.
Ndlovu has now been found dead, bringing a tragic end to the search for the former broadcaster.
The circumstances surrounding the discovery of his body have not yet been established publicly, including where he was found, how he died and whether any arrests have been made.
It also remains unclear whether the kidnappers had demanded a ransom.
Ndlovu was known for his work as a sports presenter at the SABC and for his involvement in the music industry.
His death comes less than a day after he was abducted in front of his wife.
Police are expected to provide further details as the investigation into his kidnapping and death continues.
