Former SABC sports presenter Owen Ndlovu has allegedly been kidnapped by a group of armed men in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, in an incident reportedly witnessed by his wife.
The alleged kidnapping happened at approximately 20:00 on Tuesday, 15 September 2026.
According to information emerging about the incident, a group of armed men arrived and allegedly took Ndlovu away in front of his wife.
Ndlovu is the founder of United Artists and a member of the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO).
Details surrounding the circumstances of the alleged abduction remain limited, including how many armed men were involved, what vehicle or vehicles they were travelling in and where Ndlovu may have been taken.
It is also not yet clear whether a ransom demand has been made or what the motive behind the alleged kidnapping could be.
Ndlovu has previously been involved in disputes relating to the music industry and SAMRO, but there is currently no evidence establishing that those matters are connected to his reported abduction.
Authorities have also not publicly identified any suspects.
The circumstances surrounding Ndlovu’s disappearance are expected to become clearer as the investigation develops and further information is released.
His whereabouts remain the central concern following the reported abduction.
