Three men, including a Nigerian national, have appeared before the Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court in connection with the alleged theft and subsequent sale of a smartwatch belonging to the late Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo.
The case relates to the smartwatch belonging to Moselakgomo, whose body was discovered in Rhodesfield on 12 September 2026.
Moselakgomo was last seen alive on 9 September 2026 after leaving her home to go for a run.
It is alleged that the smartwatch was acquired less than 24 hours after she was last seen alive. The device was allegedly sold and resold among the accused.
The three accused are Kenneth Chibuzor, Stephen Mahlakwane Sekhukhune and Danial Anthony Moat. They appeared in court in connection with allegations involving the theft, possession and disposal of the smartwatch.
The case adds another development to the investigation following Moselakgomo’s death. However, the allegations against the accused remain to be tested in court, and their appearance does not amount to a finding of guilt.
