West Rand Entrepreneur Walks From Limpopo to Johannesburg to Raise Funds For Cookie Business

A determined entrepreneur from the West Rand, Raymond Mabilu, has embarked on an extraordinary journey — walking from Burgersfort in Limpopo to the Johannesburg CBD in an effort to raise funds for his cookie business, Makuku.

Mabilu says he has exhausted nearly every avenue possible to grow the business, including approaching potential funders, submitting business proposals, knocking on doors and even asking for donations, but none of his efforts have yielded the support he desperately needs.

Now, in a bold and emotional move, the young businessman has decided to walk hundreds of kilometres to raise awareness not only about his own struggle, but also the challenges faced by many young entrepreneurs battling to access funding and opportunities in South Africa.

Mabilu hopes the journey will inspire people to support local businesses while helping him keep his bakery dream alive.

He is encouraging members of the public to support him by placing bakery orders or making donations towards the growth of his business.
