Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has unveiled his preliminary squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup fixtures
The squad blends experienced internationals with emerging young talent, with players from the PSL, MLS and European leagues earning call-ups.
Captain Ronwen Williams headlines the squad alongside key players such as Lyle Foster, Evidence Makgopa, Patrick Maswanganyi, Teboho Mokoena, and rising sensation Relebohile Mofokeng.
The squad also includes overseas-based defenders Mbekezeli Mbokazi of Chicago Fire FC and Olwethu Makhanya of Philadelphia Union, both of whom continue to make their mark in the MLS.
Among the notable inclusions are exciting young stars such as Iqraam Rayners, Oswin Appollis, Thapelo Morena, and Jayden Adams.
The preliminary squad is expected to be trimmed before the final team is confirmed for the World Cup fixtures.
