A horrific crash on the N11 near Groblersdal has left three prisoners and a police officer critically injured after a state vehicle transporting inmates collided with a tractor.
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety confirmed that the accident happened on Friday near Roslyn Farm, while the police vehicle was transporting inmates to Middelburg.
According to preliminary reports, the tractor was crossing the highway at the time of the collision, leading to the devastating impact.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, where the three prisoners and the police officer were found critically injured.
All four victims were transported to Groblersdal Hospital, where they are receiving urgent medical treatment.
