Three Suspects Arrested With Dagga Worth R11 Million in Limpopo

Three suspects have been arrested after police allegedly intercepted a massive consignment of dagga valued at approximately R11 million in Hoedspruit.

According to authorities, the suspects were travelling in a Toyota Quantum and a Hyundai when they were stopped and found in possession of the drugs.

Police allege that the shipment originated in Eswatini and was being transported into Limpopo when it was intercepted.

The seizure is one of the largest reported drug busts in the area and forms part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to disrupt cross-border drug trafficking networks operating in the region.

The three suspects are expected to appear before the Hoedspruit Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where they are likely to face charges related to drug trafficking and possession.
