Suspended police sergeant Fannie Nkosi is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court after spending the Easter weekend behind bars.
Nkosi faces multiple charges, including theft, defeating the ends of justice, and possession of unlicensed ammunition and stun grenades.
He was arrested on Friday following a raid at his Pretoria home, where police reportedly seized case dockets and other items.
Nkosi is attached to the Gauteng Organised Crime Unit.
His arrest comes after he previously testified before the Madlanga Commission, where he made allegations implicating senior police officials in links to organised crime.
The case is expected to draw significant attention as investigations continue.
