Police have reportedly raided the KwaZulu-Natal home of suspended Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, with cellphones seized during the operation.
Details surrounding the search and seizure operation were not immediately clear, including what investigators were looking for or whether the devices belong to Mchunu himself or other people who were at the property.
The development comes as Mchunu remains at the centre of investigations and inquiries into allegations of political interference and links to criminal networks within the police service. Mchunu has previously denied wrongdoing.
