Major General Botsotso Moukangwe has denied allegations that he received a R5 million payment from Kaizer Chiefs executive Bobby Motaung.
“I Only Know Him From TV”
Moukangwe dismissed the claims, stating that he does not have any personal relationship with Motaung.
He said he only knows Motaung “from television” and has never had any dealings with him.
Disputing Manamela’s Claims
His response follows statements made by Daphney Manamela, who alleged that Moukangwe admitted to receiving the money and sharing it with National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola.
Moukangwe has strongly rejected these claims, accusing Manamela of fabricating the allegations.
Conflicting Versions
The matter now presents two conflicting accounts:
- Manamela alleges a payment was made and shared among senior officials
- Moukangwe denies receiving any money and rejects any connection to Motaung
