A woman from Lonely Park in Mahikeng, identified as Masego Moshweu, was found dead inside her home after she had reportedly been involved in an argument with her husband.
According to information available, Masego was last seen during the reported dispute at the couple’s home. Concern grew when family members later tried contacting her but were unable to reach her.
Relatives reportedly went to the house to check on her and allegedly found a key outside the property. After entering the home, they made the tragic discovery and found Masego dead inside.
It is further alleged that a hammer and a screwdriver stained with blood were found at the scene.
Police later tried locating Masego’s husband and reportedly established that he had allegedly been involved in a collision with a truck. He sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
Authorities have appealed to the public not to speculate or spread claims linking anyone to Masego’s death while investigations are still underway.
Police say the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
