Lesufi Says Suspects in Mazwi Kubheka Kidnapping Identified

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi says authorities have now identified the suspects behind the kidnapping of Mazwi Kubheka.

Speaking on the latest developments, Lesufi revealed that two of the suspects are believed to be Ethiopian nationals, while others are South African.

He further stated that, according to Kubheka himself, the location where he was being held was guarded by Malawian nationals.

Kidnapping and release

Kubheka, who had been missing for weeks, was allegedly kidnapped and later released in a veld in Ekurhuleni. He then walked to a nearby road, where a taxi driver assisted him.

He eventually made his way to the Vosloorus Police Station, where police contacted his family.

Investigation ongoing

Authorities say investigations are continuing as they work to locate and arrest the suspects, with more details expected to emerge.

Kubheka is currently receiving medical care, with his family indicating that he is still recovering from the ordeal.
