New details emerging before the Madlanga Commission allege that suspended Crime Intelligence boss Feroz Khan owns an extensive portfolio of luxury assets, including 30 vehicles and several high-value properties across South Africa.
According to evidence presented to the commission, Khan allegedly owns a mansion in George, where he reportedly purchased land for R3.5 million before constructing a luxury home.
The commission also heard that Khan allegedly owns:
- A R7.1 million apartment at The Pearls in Umhlanga.
- A R8.8 million property in Houghton.
- Another R7.9 million property in Houghton Estate, Johannesburg.
The commission further heard that Khan reportedly earns around R3 million a year from his private business interests. According to the evidence, this income is about 2.5 times higher than his annual salary as a police officer.
The allegations form part of the commission’s ongoing inquiry into matters relating to Crime Intelligence. The claims remain subject to the commission’s proceedings and have not been tested by a court.
