Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has added another accolade to his illustrious career, being named Best Middle East Player at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ronaldo expressed his gratitude and reflected on his enduring passion for the game.
“Thank you to the Globe Soccer Awards. It’s a great honour to be here among so many players, presidents and agents,” he said.
“This gala is one of my favourites because I get to see so many special people — my wife, my children, my parents and my teammates. It’s not easy to keep playing, but my passion for football is even stronger. I remain highly motivated. I still want to play, win trophies and score goals.”
The award caps off a remarkable year for the 40-year-old, who scored 40 goals in 2025, marking the 14th time in his career that he has reached the 40-goal milestone in a single calendar year. This achievement further cements Ronaldo’s legacy as one of football’s greatest players of all time.
