The bail application of suspended police officer Fannie Nkosi has been postponed to 22 April 2026, when the court is expected to deliver its ruling.
Nkosi appeared before the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court, where proceedings were delayed to allow for further consideration of arguments presented by both the State and the defence.
Awaiting Court Outcome
The court will determine on the scheduled date whether Nkosi will be granted bail or remain in custody as the case continues.
Nkosi faces several serious charges, including:
- Defeating the ends of justice
- Theft of case dockets
- Firearm-related offences
The case has attracted significant public attention due to Nkosi’s role as a police officer and his involvement as a witness in proceedings linked to the Madlanga Commission.
