Social media personality Ahmed Mgweqo, popularly known online as Mohammed Mokoena, has sadly passed away following a long battle with a kidney-related illness. Sources close to him confirmed the news to Kurrently on Monday morning.
Ahmed had been living with complications linked to his condition and recently underwent surgery on his legs, which had become affected as a result of the illness.
According to those close to him, he complained of chest pains on Sunday and was admitted to hospital. He later succumbed to the illness and passed away on Monday.
Ahmed was widely loved on social media for his humour and personality, which endeared him to many followers across the country. News of his passing has been met with an outpouring of grief, with many remembering him as a kind and joyful presence online.
