The family of missing runner Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo is expected to visit the Germiston Pathology Centre today to establish whether a woman’s body discovered in Rhodesfield on Saturday is that of their loved one.
The 38-year-old disappeared after leaving her Kempton Park home for an afternoon run last week. When she failed to return, her eight-year-old daughter contacted relatives, who reported her missing.
The discovery on 12 September brought fresh uncertainty for the family, who were unable to identify the woman at the scene as the body was badly beaten.
The formal identification process remains pending. There has been no confirmation that the body is Moselakgomo’s.
As they await answers, her family has appealed to the public not to circulate speculation or unverified claims about her fate.
