A police officer stationed at Roodepoort SAPS has been found dead following a suspected dog attack at a residence in Dobsonville Gardens, Soweto.
Warrant Officer Mmaleho Olga Bawa was discovered deceased at the property after reportedly being attacked by dogs.
The animals involved have been described in initial reports as pit bulls. However, their breed has not yet been officially confirmed.
Details surrounding the incident remain limited, including what may have triggered the attack and whether anyone witnessed it.
It is also not yet known what action has been taken regarding the dogs or whether they have been removed from the property.
