March and March Confirms Assassination of Ekurhuleni Leader

Anti-illegal immigration movement March and March has confirmed the death of its Ekurhuleni regional leader, who was gunned down in what the organisation believes was a targeted assassination.

According to the movement, the leader was shot dead in Ekurhuleni, with the organisation describing the killing as an assassination linked to his activism. March and March has called on law enforcement authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and bring those responsible to justice.

The killing comes amid heightened tensions surrounding the group’s campaign against illegal immigration, which recently saw nationwide marches and demonstrations calling for stricter enforcement of South Africa’s immigration laws.

Police have not yet publicly confirmed the motive for the shooting, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killing are ongoing. At this stage, no arrests have been announced.
