Two suspects were shot and killed, while a third suspect survived despite initially being believed dead, following a police shootout in KwaMsane.
According to police, officers pursued the suspects from Hluhluwe before the chase came to an end in KwaMsane, where an exchange of gunfire occurred.
Police initially believed that all three suspects had been fatally wounded during the shootout.
However, in a dramatic twist, the third suspect unexpectedly regained consciousness while forensic experts were processing the scene.
“Three suspects were believed to have been fatally wounded, however the third suspect woke up when the forensics were taking photographs and he was rushed to hospital under police guard.”
The suspect was immediately transported to hospital under police guard, where he is receiving medical treatment.
Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the suspects’ identities or the crimes they were allegedly linked to. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
