The legal team of controversial musician Shebeshxt says they remain highly confident that he will be granted bail following an appeal at the Polokwane High Court.
Attorney Michael Khumalo says he is “99% confident” that they will succeed in the bail appeal matter.
The appeal was heard at the Polokwane High Court on 27 May 2026 and is expected to continue on 12 June 2026.
Khumalo further indicated that the legal team is prepared to take the matter all the way to the Constitutional Court if they are unsuccessful in the current proceedings.
In addition, the attorney addressed claims circulating on social media suggesting he had allegedly used artificial intelligence (AI) to prepare his heads of argument.
Khumalo dismissed the speculation and urged reporters and online users to verify information before publishing it.
The case continues to attract public attention as supporters await the High Court’s decision on whether Shebeshxt will be granted bail.
