Vusi Shongwe, a Member of Parliament for the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK Party), says he has been invited to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry investigating allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
Shongwe revealed this during Parliament’s #AdHocCommittee, stating that his testimony will focus on a meeting held in Durban, which he attended at the invitation of General Feroz Khan.
The meeting has now become a point of interest in the Commission’s investigation.
Khan was recently arrested alongside other suspects, facing charges linked to defeating the ends of justice and alleged violations of the Precious Metals Act.
The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry is probing explosive allegations raised by Mkhwanazi, which have drawn national attention and placed senior law enforcement figures under scrutiny.
