The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality says Tsweu Lifestyle owes the municipality R1.7 million, claiming the establishment last made a payment of just R60 in November 2022.
In a post on X, the City of Tshwane confirmed that it had cut off electricity to the popular lifestyle venue over the outstanding debt.
Adding humour to the situation, the municipality jokingly asked:
“Lo groover ko kae?”
The phrase, loosely translated, suggests: “Where are the partygoers now?”, seemingly poking fun after disconnecting power to the venue.
The post has since sparked reactions online, with social media users debating the City’s approach and the alleged unpaid municipal bill.
