President Cyril Ramaphosa has officially filed papers in the Western Cape High Court seeking a judicial review of the Section 89 independent panel report into the Phala Phala scandal.
The court application relates to the controversial Section 89 panel report, which previously found that there may be a case for Ramaphosa to answer regarding the theft of foreign currency from his Phala Phala farm.
However, according to court papers, Ramaphosa is only seeking a review of the report itself and has not requested an interim interdict to halt the pending impeachment process.
