Police are reportedly questioning a woman as investigations continue into the disappearance of 2-year-old Omphile Sethole, who went missing from her home in Ga-Mabuela village near Tinmyne, Limpopo.
The toddler was reported missing in the early hours of Saturday, 2 May 2026, sparking concern in the local community as authorities intensify efforts to locate her.
According to reports, Omphile’s 52-year-old grandmother discovered that the child was missing at around 06:00 after noticing that a bedroom window had been left open.
It is alleged that Omphile had been sleeping at home before her disappearance, with the circumstances surrounding how she went missing still under investigation.
Police have not yet revealed the identity of the woman being questioned or clarified whether she is considered a suspect, as investigators continue piecing together what may have happened to the young child.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in locating Omphile to come forward.
