Traditional healer and social media personality Phakel’umthakathi has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding allegations involving a Zimbabwean woman, while also sharing his views on jealousy, spiritual attacks and relationships.
Speaking on the matter, Phakel’umthakathi said that when a person is successful or doing meaningful work, there will always be people who are jealous and wish for their downfall.
He claimed that in some cases, the jealousy may even come from colleagues or people close to you, saying that not everyone carries the same “strength” or influence, even when doing similar work.
According to him, people should not be surprised that South Africans are divided on issues involving foreign nationals, saying the topic has long sparked strong and differing opinions.
Addressing rumours about relationships with Zimbabwean women, Phakel’umthakathi insisted that he has never had a wife from Zimbabwe and never will.
“I have never had a wife in Zimbabwe, and I will never have a wife in Zimbabwe,” he said.
However, he admitted that he once dated a Zimbabwean woman he cared about but later realised the relationship would not work out.
He further claimed that before getting involved with her, he allegedly made sure that her documents were in order, adding that the relationship was never serious.
“I have wives. I do not have a Zimbabwean wife, and I will never have one,” he added.
His remarks are likely to generate debate online, especially amid ongoing conversations in South Africa around immigration, relationships and tensions involving foreign nationals.
