Thobeka and Cassper, real name Refiloe Phoolo, ended their relationship after Cassper admitted to cheating on her with multiple women. The rapper has since rebranded himself as a Christian man and says he’s focused on being a better father and husband after marrying his childhood sweetheart Pulane in April 2024.
Despite the rocky history, Thobeka has consistently kept things civil for the sake of their son, who was diagnosed with cancer at eight months old and spent two years undergoing chemotherapy and surgery. She’s often spoken about choosing peace and healing over drama.
This Mother’s Day, Cassper shared an Instagram tribute to all the mothers in his life, including Thobeka, posting a picture of her with Khotso and writing: “Happy Mother’s Day to All the beautiful mothers. Thank you for your gift of life and all your sacrifices. Thank you for nurturing us and loving us. May God bless you further.”
