Police have launched a search for a missing toddler, Omphile Sethole, who disappeared from a home in Ga-Mabuela village.
According to reports, the two-year-old was sleeping with his 52-year-old grandmother when the incident occurred. The grandmother stated that at around 2am, the child was still in bed when she briefly stepped out to use the bathroom.
However, when she woke up at approximately 6am, the child was no longer in the house, and a window had been found open.
Concern grows as search begins
The circumstances surrounding the disappearance remain unclear, raising concerns about how the child may have left the house during the early hours of the morning.
Authorities are expected to investigate all possible scenarios while search efforts intensify in and around the village.
Community members are also likely to assist in efforts to locate the child as concern continues to grow.
