Pretoria businessman and farmer Jerry Boshoga remains missing more than a year and six months after his disappearance, with no confirmed breakthrough in the investigation.
Kidnapped After Centurion Meeting
Boshoga was allegedly kidnapped shortly after leaving a business meeting in Centurion. Since then:
- No verified trace of him has been found
- His whereabouts remain unknown
- The case continues to be actively investigated
False Death Claims Rejected
Claims previously circulated suggesting that Boshoga had been found dead in 2025 have been firmly dismissed.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has:
- Confirmed those reports are unverified and false
- Stated that the investigation remains ongoing
Matlala Denies Any Role
Businessman Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala has been publicly linked to allegations around the kidnapping, but he:
- Denies any involvement
- Says Boshoga was a close friend
- Has expressed, including during testimony, hope that Boshoga is found alive
Investigation Ongoing
Authorities are still trying to determine:
- What happened immediately after the kidnapping
- Whether Boshoga is alive or deceased
- The extent of any organised criminal involvement
Despite multiple theories and claims, the case remains unresolved, with no closure for the family after more than 18 months.
